On 22 October 2013, Tandem Law became the Lead Solicitor in a Group Litigation Order (GLO) for claims made against the United Kingdom Foreign and Commonwealth Office and HM Government. The GLO relates to events which occurred in Kenya between 20 October 1952 and 12 December 1963. It is referred to as the ‘Kenyan Emergency Group Litigation’.
Tandem Law is now representing over 20,000 claimants in the action. Due to the nature of group litigation, the deadline for registering a claim passed on the 30th of April 2014. No Claimant may be added to the group register after the closing date unless the Management Court gives permission.
